Geronimo the Giant

For the next two weeks we are studying Giants. On Monday Room 2 discovered their giant, Geronimo, on the wall of their classroom. Some of us thought he was a scarecrow! Now we know that he is a friendly giant and we quite like him.

Little Red Riding Hood 

Last week we focused on the Fairy Tale Little Red Riding Hood. We read the story, talked about the characters and created artwork based on a character from the story. 

This is all of the fantastic artwork that is now up on the wall.

We even shared our artwork with all of the Juniors at Assembly!

Room 2 built a Zoo!

Last week Room 2 made a fantastic Zoo out of blocks and even put some animals in it!

Basketball in the hall

We had a visit from Tony who taught us how to dribble, bounce and throw a basketball! We had so much fun! 

We even finished off our Basketball session like real players do!

Room Two begins a Zoo!

We have been growing animals in our classroom! We put a little capsule into water and it grows into an animal. Meet our first animal to join our Zoo: Ella the Elephant.

This term we are looking at the strand Geometry. We read the story Scatter Cat and then talked about where Hairy Maclary was hiding. See what we learnt in the video below.
