Play Dough

Last week we started procedural writing. To help us to know what that meant we made play dough and then wrote about how we made it.
We had lots of fun and made some mess (mostly Miss Linehan made the mess) and wrote our very first pieces of procedural writing!

Space homework challenge

Over the past couple of weeks all the children in year 1 and 2 were given a homework challenge.
The challenge was to create something about space that interested them or to show something that they had learnt.
I always knew that the kids in Room 2 were amazing and creative but their projects blew me away!
Have a look at the photos below...

 Oscar's project
Joshua's project
Nati's project
Jack's project

Well done to everyone who completed this challenge and a BIG thanks to all the family members who helped with these creations!

Walk to School Day

Last Friday everyone walked to school. Miss Linehan went down the road and met a group of children at Fox Outlet Centre. Oscar from Room 2 was there and we walked to school together!
We picked up rubbish on the way and followed Mr Gordon in his bright yellow jacket all the way to school!

Olympic Medals!
Last week we had a special visit from Maia's Dad who brought in Olympic medals for us to look at and try on!

These are three of the four medals that Blyth Tait has won for Equestrian at the Olympics.

AFL Kiwi Kick
This term we will have 6 AFL lessons. So far we have learnt a little bit about the game and how to handball (that's what a pass is called). We are actually really good at it!
